What happens to the picture
With Standard, nothing. We tested this rather than assuming it: we ran an H.264 MP4 and an H.265 MOV through Standard, then compared the video data in each output with the original. Frame count, resolution and every byte we sampled matched. The video is copied across, not re-encoded, so there is no quality loss, no waiting for an export, no watermark and no end card.
The sound does change. Standard writes one new mono track at 48 kHz, so a stereo mix comes back mono. That suits speech, but it matters if your clip depends on stereo effects.

Which mode suits where you filmed
Video noise depends on where you shot, not on the camera. Start with the free preview, which plays both modes on your first 30 seconds, and use this as a guide to what to listen for.
Wind deserves a closer listen. In our noise test both modes removed it, but Standard also dulled the voice: speech energy above 4 kHz fell from −26.5 dB to −32.0 dB, while Enhanced lifted it to −16.0 dB. If your clip was shot outdoors, compare the two below before you spend 2 credits a minute.

Clean the raw clip before you add music
The model is trained to keep speech and turn down everything else, and it has no way of knowing which other sounds you wanted. Background music, nature sounds and sound effects can all be reduced or left uneven. So the order matters: clean the raw clip first, then add music, captions and effects in your editor.
For TikTok, Reels and Shorts, that means cleaning the footage before you pick a sound in the app. If you only have a finished video with music already mixed in, preview it first and listen closely. Separating music from speech is a different job from noise removal, and this tool does not do it.
The same goes for clips with no one talking. A landscape shot with birdsong may come back close to silent, because there is no speech to keep.
Long videos, limits and credits
Standard handles videos up to 60 minutes and 2 GB, and clips up to 5 minutes are free without an account. Longer files use 1 credit per minute. Enhanced handles up to 30 minutes and 2 GB, and uses 2 credits per minute, so a 10-minute YouTube video costs 20 credits.
Standard runs on your own device, so a long video takes longer on an older computer. Previews work on video files up to 150 MB. If your file is bigger, or the noisy part comes after the first 30 seconds, cut a short clip of that part and preview it instead.
Common questions
Is my video uploaded? Cleaning with Standard doesn’t upload it. When you choose a file, though, the tool sends the first 30 seconds of its sound, without the picture, to our servers to prepare the Enhanced preview. Cleaning a full file with Enhanced uploads the whole video. Uploads are deleted automatically 24 hours after upload.
Can it fix two people talking at once? Only partly. It works best with one main speaker, and a second voice in the background looks like speech to the model, so some of it stays.
Does it fix shaky or dark footage? No. This tool only cleans the sound.
