Denoisa vs CapCut for removing background noise

Last updated:

Choose CapCut if you’re already editing the video there and want noise reduction as one step in the timeline. Choose Denoisa if the video is finished and you only need cleaner sound, without an account or a timeline. We make Denoisa, so check the sources below and try both on your own recording.

When CapCut is the better choice

If the video is still being edited, keep the work in one place. CapCut lets you trim, caption and clean the sound in a single project, and its noise control can be adjusted by ear. Moving the clip to a separate tool would add steps for no clear benefit.

When Denoisa is the better choice

If the video is already finished, you don’t need to rebuild it in a timeline. Standard cleans the sound and gives you the same video back with the picture unchanged.

For private recordings, Standard works on your device. CapCut’s terms give it a broad license to the content you upload, for operating its services and subject to your settings. Read them if your footage is confidential. On Denoisa, Enhanced uploads are deleted automatically 24 hours after upload, and we never use recordings to train models.

What this comparison doesn’t cover

We haven’t tested how the two tools sound side by side, so this page makes no claim about which sounds better. We also couldn’t confirm from CapCut’s public pages whether noise reduction is free on every platform, so check for a Pro label before you rely on it.

Denoisa is independent and isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by CapCut. CapCut is a trademark of its owner.
